First National Bank Contribution to Honor Campaign
Lynchburg Police Foundation Receives $5,000 for Honor Campaign
The Lynchburg Police Foundation (LPF) is pleased to announce that it has received a $5,000 donation from First National Bank in support of its Honor Campaign.
The Honor Campaign is an initiative designed to recognize and support the Lynchburg Police Department (LPD). This campaign will enable the Lynchburg Police Foundation to build an Honor Garden at the new Lynchburg Police Department headquarters. Additionally, it will establish a permanent fund to provide programs and services that support, honor, and stand behind the LPD.
The Honor Garden will create an inviting space for officers to engage with the community. It will feature beautiful landscaping, seating areas, and commemorative plaques. This garden will serve as a symbolic gesture to new recruits and visitors that Lynchburg is a community that deeply values and supports its law enforcement.
“First National is proud to support the Foundation in its partnership with the Lynchburg Police Department and the City of Lynchburg to memorialize members of law enforcement who lost their lives in the line of duty, as well as honor past, present, and future officers charged with protecting and serving our local community,” said First National Bank President and CEO, Aubrey H. Hall, III "Todd".
Upon completion, the garden will pay tribute to 220 years of law enforcement in Lynchburg, serving as a lasting reminder of the dedication and sacrifice of our police officers. The permanent fund established through the Honor Campaign will also support various programs, including officer wellness initiatives, community outreach activities, and educational opportunities for both officers and the community.
