  • Brick Sales

    Deadline March 15, 2026

    If you missed purchasing an Honor Garden brick, sales have resumed!  Visit lynchburgpolicefoundation.org and purchase a brick(s) to show your support for the Lynchburg Police Department, honor someone special in your life or remember someone through a memorial brick. Bricks can be purchased until March 15, 2026 and will be installed in May 2026.

  • Annual Meet and Greet Social

    April 23, 2026

    The Meet and Greet Social, to be held at the Craddock-Terry Hotel, a Portfolio Hotel, on Commerce Street, Lynchburg, is an opportunity for LPF Donors, Sponsors and Board Members to hear the latest about the K9 Garden in Recognition of Chief Ryan Zuidema (Retired). The K9 Garden is the final phase of the Honor Garden and will honor past and present LPD K9s and their respective handlers. 

    The Social will also provide an opportunity to hear from LPD's newest Police Chief Kennith Edwards. Hear about his vision and focus as he leads the police department. A question and answer session will be available.

  • LPF Student Scholarships

    April/May 2026

    Sponsored by M4K Lynchburg

    Children and grandchildren of active Lynchburg Police Department officers, Emergency Communications and Professional Staff are awarded scholarships towards their respective college/university/community college/trade school tuition.

    Students apply for the scholarship and an LPF Committee selects and awards the scholarships. 

  • May 10 - National Police Week Begins

    Begins May 10, 2026

    National Police Week is celebrated on the week May 15 falls in, under President John F. Kennedy’s decree to honor the men and women who risk their lives every day in the line of duty. The week is also a time for police officers to honor their fallen colleagues, make sure those surviving them are supported, as well as to remember their commitment to keeping people safe.   • Annual Golf Tournament

    May 8, 2026

    Golfers and sponsors enjoy an afternoon of golfing to raise funds for the Helping Hands initiative of LPF's We Care Program. The tournament will be held at Ivy Hill Golf Course and includes lunch, 18 holes of golf, prizes and a raffle. Shotgun start is 12:30 p.m. Check the LPF website for more details.

  • May 14 - Annual Awards Ceremony

    The LPD will hold its Annual Awards Ceremony at the Legacy Wealth Management Auditorium and Lobby to recognize those officers, professional staff and Emergency Communications employees for their outstanding work protecting the citizens of Lynchburg in 2025. This event is funded by the Lynchburg Police Foundation.  

    In addition to L3Harris Technologies' sponsorship,  we are still looking for additional sponsors to offset the cost of this event so that LPD employees and their families are able to attend at no cost. Please note that this ceremony is closed to the public.
