Scholarship presentation to qualified high school seniors of LPD employees. (Closed to the public)

May 2 - Golf Tournament
The Foundation’s Annual Golf Tournament will be held at London Downs Golf Course. Space is still available. Proceeds go directly to the Helping Hands Fund.

May 10 - Car Show
The Moose Lodge 715 on Lakeside Dr. will hold its Annual Car Show, from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m. Proceeds to benefit the Foundation.

May 12 - National Police Week Begins
National Police Week begins. On May 12 at 6:30 p.m., a Memorial Service will be held at the base of Monument Terrence to recognize Virginia police officers who died in the line of service this past year.

May 14 - Annual Awards Ceremony
The LPD will hold its Annual Awards Ceremony at the Academy Center of the Arts to recognize officers and professional staff employees for outstanding work protecting the citizens of Lynchburg in 2024. This event is funded by the Lynchburg Police Foundation. L3 Harris Technologies is the major sponsor. Additional sponsorships are available. Visit the Foundation website to support.
