Professional Staff of the Quarter
The Foundation is happy to be able to provide a cash award on behalf of the citizens of the City of Lynchburg to the Professional Staff of the Quarter: Network Administrator McCune.
“Network Administrator McCune is being recognized as the Lynchburg Police Department (LPD) Professional Staff of the Quarter for the fourth quarter of 2022 for his dedication to duty and willingness to assist at a critical time of need.
One early October morning, at 6:23 a.m., Lt. Williams sent an email to some of our LPD Information Technology staff, hoping someone would respond later in the day to assist with a technical issue. One of our patrol vehicles in-car camera was not functional, which would have sidelined a vehicle for the day or longer. Within 15 minutes, McCune emailed back offering to assist. He was able to quickly troubleshoot the problem and resolve the camera issue in a timely manner.
He was efficient, knowledgeable, and thorough in his approach. He is an invaluable member of the IT and LPD team. Thank you, Network Administrator McCune for your quick response and willingness to assist.”
