K-9 Garden UPDATE
It has been a busy summer for the Lynchburg Police Foundation! We began with our Spring Meet & Greet event right through our Ice Cream Social on September 16! Photos of all events can be found on our website at lynchburgpolicefoundation.org.
Now it is time to put our concerted efforts into the K-9 Garden that will break ground this winter. The Foundation kicked off the K-9 Garden campaign at our Meet & Greet Social in April 2026 and since then, the garden has received a great amount of support. Currently, we have raised 70 percent of the funds needed to pay for the garden! We need to finalize our fundraising during the next several months so that we can confidently complete the final phase of the Lynchburg Police Department Honor Garden!
A huge thank you to Delta Star, Inc who sponsored the center piece of the K-9 Garden - the bronze canine. Still available for sponsorship are the Park Bench ($20,000) and the reserved area for recognizing all 26 past and present K-9s of the LPD ($15,000)!
A large bronze plaque will be installed in the K-9 Garden recognizing all donors from $2,500 and above. The Foundation would like to thank the following donors to date who have contributed at this level. Their donations are a thank you to the LPD, the brave K-9s and their handlers for everything they do for our community!

The Lynchburg Police Foundation would be honored to add your name or business name to this incredible list!
Also helpful in our fundraising efforts is the sale of Commemorative Bricks! Honor or remember someone special in your life by purchasing a brick with a special message to be installed in the K-9 Garden. This is also a perfect way to forever honor your pets - the four-legged family member(s)- in the K-9 Garden! Bricks can be purchased at lynchburgpolicefoundation.org.
Please consider helping us to reach our construction goal and raise the funds to maintain the K-9 Garden in the future!
Dedication of the K-9 Garden is expected in May 2027.
