Lt. Lisa Singleton completed the UVA School of Continuing and Professional Studies and Virginia State Police National Criminal Justice Command College in September.

This Command College is a high-level training session for leaders in Virginia law enforcement agencies and encourages career development. She spent 10 weeks in intensive sessions focusing on leadership, relationship-building, and collaboration. This training is an invaluable asset for those Lynchburg Police Department Officers who attend because it exposes them to law enforcement professionals from throughout the state, challenges them, and develops them into better leaders who will mentor other LPD officers.

In 2019, Lt. Singleton attended this educational program through a scholarship provided by the Lynchburg Police Foundation which was funded by a grant from The Al Stroobants Foundation.
