Executive Education Program
Lt. Craig Dowdy completed the NC State University Administrative Officers Management Program in April. This Executive Education program is a high-level training session for leaders in law enforcement agencies and encourages career development.
He spent 12 weeks in intensive sessions focusing the most up-to-date management and leadership practices in the challenging context faced by law enforcement administrators. This training is an invaluable asset for those LPD Officers who attend because it exposes them to law enforcement professionals from across the country, challenges them, and develops them into better leaders who will mentor other LPD officers.
In 2020, Lt. Dowdy attended this educational program through a scholarship provided by the Lynchburg Police Foundation which was funded by a grant from The Al Stroobants Foundation.
