The 2026 Mid-Year Newsletter Is Here

From the LPF President…

As we moved through the first months of 2026, the Foundation has remained steadfast in its core mission of supporting the members of the Lynchburg Police Department, our retirees and family members. The activities highlighted in this newsletter show how these programs support resources, recognition, community engagement and the personal needs of individual officers.

In April we announced the launch of our fundraising campaign to add a dedicated K-9 Garden as an exciting final addition to the Honor Garden at the LDP Headquarters. I encourage you to join in this new project through your donations and brick purchases.

If you have not yet had the opportunity, I invite you to visit the LPD's new Headquarters, admire the beauty of the Honor Garden and enjoy some LPD history in the Legacy Museum exhibits. We also look forward to seeing each of you on September 2nd at our Annual Donor/Sponsor Appreciation Event.

On behalf of the Board of the Lynchburg Police Foundation, thank you for your continued support!

Eugene Wingfield, Board President
