RETIRED COMMANDER BOBBY "BJ" WILLIAMS REMEMBERED

Commander Bobby “BJ” Williams, who dedicated 25 years to the City of Lynchburg and the Lynchburg Police Department, recently passed away.
Williams’ career was marked by numerous accolades, earned through unwavering dedication, principled leadership, and a genuine care for the people he served. He was well respected by his peers and trusted by the community, leaving a lasting impact on the department he helped shape.

Before joining the Lynchburg Police Department, Commander Williams proudly served as an Airman in the United States Air Force.

Commander Williams’ legacy lives on through the values he upheld and the lives he touched.
