Officer of the Month
The Foundation is happy to be able to provide a cash award on behalf of the citizens of the City of Lynchburg to the Officer of the Month: Officer J. Williams.
“Officer J. Williams is being recognized for his determination and dedication to justice after investigating and solving a burglary from early 2022.
Officer Williams was diligent and invested a significant amount of time investigating this case. Through the investigation, he was able to identify seven suspects involved in this crime.
After consulting with Lynchburg’s Office of the Commonwealth’s Attorney, appropriate charges were obtained against each suspect and a warrant round up was conducted. Members of the Lynchburg Police Department, US Marshals Service, Bureau of Alcohol Tobacco and Firearms, and Virginia State Police worked together to arrest all seven suspects without incident.
Officer Williams is commended for his hard work, determination, and commitment to justice. Williams’s efforts on this case unquestionably led to this crime being solved and justice being provided to the victim. ”
