Stacy Garrett
Stacy Garrett is the Executive Director of Miller Home for Girls in Lynchburg, VA. Miller Home is a residential girls group home. Before entering Residential Care, Stacy taught kindergarten and first grade for eleven years. She may no longer be teaching in a classroom setting, but continues to care and teach children and young adults. Stacy feels blessed to work with many wonderful people who share a piece of their life with and give her the opportunity to witness their life successes.
Stacy's dad was in the U.S. Army and her family moved every three years enabling them to travel the world. It was a great experience and taught Stacy the importance of “home is where you are.” Virginia has been home to Stacy since the early 80's. Stacy earned a Master’s in Administration and Supervision and a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education from Longwood College.
Stacy's brother is "Chief of Police" in Tennessee, so contributing and supporting Lynchburg's Police through education opportunities, leadership development trainings, essential equipment needs and community engagement is important to her and the "why" Stacy feels it's important to sere on the Lynchburg Police Foundation.
