Moose Lodge Car Show
The City of Lynchburg Police Foundation is excited to announce that the nonprofit organization will receive proceeds raised at the upcoming 715 Moose Lodge Third Annual Car Show.
The show is on Saturday, April 16, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Free to the public, the local Moose Lodge at 2307 Lakeside Drive has hosted the widely attended event for several years. Each year, the funds raised have benefited different charitable organizations.
In addition to the featured cars, the LPF and members of the Lynchburg Police Department, including Chief Ryan Zuidema, will be on site to speak and answer questions from the public. Attendees will have the distinct opportunity to see the Lynchburg Police Department’s new vehicle featuring a recently released design change.
The Lynchburg Police Department will also demonstrate its drone system that was fully funded by the LPF. The department’s Community Action Team will showcase its trailer and equipment used in city neighborhoods to build and sustain relationships within the community. The equipment was also funded by the Lynchburg Police Foundation.
“We are excited to be participating with the Lynchburg Police Department in this year’s car show event,” said Richard W. Loving, president of the Lynchburg Police Foundation. “On behalf of our organization, we want to thank the 715 Moose Lodge and its members for supporting our efforts.
“All funds raised at this special event will go directly toward helping our local law enforcement in critical areas including leadership development, officer acknowledgement for outstanding performance, community engagement and the purchase of specialized equipment. Lynchburg Police Department officers do so much in serving our community. We are honored to do something for them in return.”
Car show guests are invited to learn more about the mission of the LPF by visiting a booth located at the event. Interested community individuals and businesses can become a member of the LPF by speaking with a board member on site.
