LPD HOLDS MEMORIAL SERVICE

The Lynchburg Police Department held a memorial service to remember those fallen Virginia law enforcement officers, including four from Lynchburg. The event was held on the evening of May 11, 2026, in the Honor Garden at the LPD headquarters. Chief Kennith R. Edwards, Jr. led the program, which included the presenting of flags and a wreath in memory and honor of the fallen officers in Lynchburg, Fairfax County and Washington, D. C.
