INTERIM CHIEF KEN EDWARDS TAKES THE HELM
Interim Chief Ken Edwards has taken the lead position of the Lynchburg Police Department as a national search for the next chief gets under way.
Interim Chief Edwards has been serving the Lynchburg community for nearly 30 years, joining LPD in 1996 and dedicating his career to partnering with and protecting the Lynchburg community. He has held leadership roles across the department, serving in Patrol, Criminal Investigations, Professional Standards, and as both a Tactical Unit Leader and Crisis Negotiations Team Commander. Through it all, Edwards has consistently engaged with our community through programs, partnerships, and initiatives.
