Donation from Moose Lodge 715 for Drone Program
Lynchburg Police Foundation to Receive $15,000 Donation from Moose Lodge 715 for Drone
The Lynchburg Police Foundation announces that it will receive a $15,000 donation from the Moose Lodge 715. The donation will be awarded at the Lakeside Drive Moose Lodge, Monday, September 12, 2022, 7PM at its Special Membership Meeting. Greg Kirby, President of the Moose Lodge 715, will make the formal check presentation at the member event. Richard Loving, President, Lynchburg Police Foundation, and Lynchburg Police Chief Ryan Zuidema will both be present to receive the contribution.
The $15,000 donation is designated to purchase a drone for the Lynchburg Police Department. This is one of several drones the Foundation has been able to purchase for the Lynchburg Police.
The Moose Lodge 715 award is the second contribution the organization has made to the Lynchburg Police Foundation in 2022. In April, the nonprofit raised $1,200 for the Foundation at its Third Annual Car Show. According to Kirby the donations made to the Foundation are part of the Moose Lodge’s mission of giving back to the community.
“It is the support of donors like the Moose Lodge that allow the Lynchburg Police Foundation to continue providing the Lynchburg Police with critical equipment they need,” said Loving. “These types of resources the Foundation is able to secure through donations help our law enforcement officers keep our community safe.”
