Education
Continuing the education and leadership skills of law enforcement officers enables them to be better equipped and more efficient in performing their duties. Providing them with ongoing training is key to developing internal candidates for advanced positions within the police department. Furthering the education of the officers is key to developing internal succession candidates for advanced positions within the police department. The Lynchburg Police Foundation has provided scholarships and funding to officers to gain these new skills and expand on their existing capabilities.
